Divorcees UnAnonymous is a fellowship of women brought together by the travails of divorce. The function of this group is for women to share their experience, strength and hope. The fellowship is self supporting in the tradition of twelve step groups and is not affiliated with any organization. Divorcees UnAnonymous is the brainchild of Tricia Walsh-Smith aka "The YouTube Divorcee." It is a new fellowship and is still in the process of being formed.

The inaugural meeting was held on the 18th June 2011 at St Mary the Virgin Church, West 46th Street, Manhattan. The 2nd meeting was held on July 19th.

The inaugural UK meeting will be held at a venue in Central London very soon. Click here for further details.

Tricia's eventual goal with Divorcees UnAnonymous is for it to become a worldwide organization helping women around the globe, but right at this moment she feels that the focus needs to be on the West - as women are losing their rights. It seems that it's becoming a regular occurrence to hear of a woman being dumped and then her spouse attempting to evict her from their marital home. Tricia is frustrated at the attention given to the oppression of women in the Middle East, while women on our own doorstep are getting totally screwed over. It is the general hypocrisy and lack of respect for women that Divorcees UnAnonymous intends to tackle -- Tricia stresses the word "tackle". DUA doesn't intend to be a wimpy support group -- it will be an organization that fights for it's divorcees rights -- headed by the Patron Saint of Divorcees herself, Tricia Walsh-Smith. Divorcees UnAnonymous will metaphorically speaking "kick ass" - always within the law of course.

Now -- today's divorcees have Divorcees UnAnonymous to turn to.

They are not alone.
